Gary Neville responds to criticism for not calling for Manchester United to sack Solskjaer

Gary Neville will not call for the axe to fall on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s head at Manchester United.

Throughout the years watching him work as a pundit on Sky Sports, I don’t recall Neville ever calling for a manager to get the sack, although his Salford City story to date may suggest otherwise.

Neville has said that he thinks Manchester United will keep Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the hot seat until the end of the season, and on top of that you won’t be hearing him call for the manager’s sacking anytime soon.

He accepts that the current cloud of pressure is warranted, but he also explained why he won’t call any manager out on live television.

After naming out an array of attacking players, whom are available to Solskjaer most weeks, Neville stressed that performances must improve if United are to show signs of progress under the Norwegian.
